NEWS Anti-Halliburton advertisement airs across America
9 June 2004
WASHINGTON, June 9 (HalliburtonWatch.org) -- An independent political group is airing a television advertisement criticizing the Bush administration's ties to Halliburton. The 30-second ad, produced by the Media Fund, airs in the so-called battleground states, or states where President Bush and Senator John Kerry (D-MA) are virtually tied in the opinion polls. The ad says "Halliburton has been price gouging, and overcharged the federal government $27 million for meals they never served to our troops and $61 million for gasoline." The Media Fund was established by activists to produce and place television, radio, print and Internet advertising in battleground states across the country. The advertisement is available for viewing at the group's website.
